About Us - Eastbourne Rainbow is an LGBTQ group for the 50+ Lesbian,Gay,Bisexual and Transgender communities living in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas for socialising, making new friends and gaining information about events happening locally.
The group is part of AGE Concern Eastbourne, meetings take place twice a month in the Venton Centre,Junction Road, Eastbourne BN21 3QY
A coffee morning is held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10.30 to 11.30am in the Pantry Cafe and there is an afternoon meeting on the last Wednesday of the month from 2.00 to 3.30pm in the Prince of Wales Room on the ground floor.

They are a not for profit 'Community Interest Company.' Their running costs rely on ticket sales and bar profits. Whilst five part-time staff do the work of programming, managing and marketing, a team of 30 dedicated volunteers host their events. The volunteers look after the audience and take an active part in bringing new events, new expertise and ideas to the cinema.

Triggering vivid memories of their passionate but secret teenage affair – at a time when homosexuality was kept in the shadows – Stéphane begins to repair the deep wounds of his adolescence, while Lucas learns more about his father’s truth.
A moving meditation on the intoxicating force of first love and the pain of repressed identities, Lie with Me is a superbly acted adaptation of Philippe Besson’s best-selling, semi-autobiographical novel.

Here is a brisk documentary about Noël Coward, who sailed to New York aged 20 with £17 in his pocket, and by his 30th birthday was the highest-paid author in the western world.
In his lifetime he wrote 500 songs and 60 plays – acting in more than 70.
At its best, this is an efficient film that does a solid, succinct job of fitting a lot of life into a little over 90 minutes.
Noël Coward died aged 73 in 1973. But in some ways this feels like a Wikipedia entry read out loud, never quite getting under the skin of a complicated man.
