The End of Coming Out?
Dustin Lance Black who was the screenwriter of the film about Harvey Milk relates the history of coming out as LGBTQ+ from the 60s and 70s and the coming out of celebrities. The idea of coming out as a means of acceptance by friends and family is discussed and is it really necessary anymore.
He asks if there will ever be a time when LGBTQ+ people no longer have to come out.
