On Sunday afternoon we travelled to Bexhill-on-Sea as the "London's Gay Men's Chorus were performing at the De La Warr Pavillion.
The show started at 5.00pm lasting until just after 7.00pm, with a short intermission and it was an exceptional evening for the princely sum of £10.00 per person.
They are a very talented group with their choral virtuosity being quite inspiring, congratulations have to go to their musical conductors and arrangers, who alternate between playing the piano and conducting the choir, which with a group of over a hundred Gay men, must at times be quite a challenge.
The variety of songs, old and new with Christmas ones included, had us all tapping our feet and clapping along, also the humour from the small sketches was superb, especially the Father Christmas sketch - such a nice young man!!
They also did an after show party that we were not able to stay to, but I should imagine was quite something. Hopefully they will be returning next year and I suggest that you book your seats early if you wish to attend to avoid disappointment.
